Field Trip to W&L Campus Garden and Campus Kitchen
Tuesday, August 12 | 10:00am–1:00pm
Join us for a hands-on visit to Washington & Lee’s Campus Community Garden and Campus Kitchen! We’ll start the day at the garden, where gardeners will share what they’re growing and why, how their composting system works, and how the garden supports sustainable practices on campus. There may even be opportunities to dig in and get our hands dirty!
Then we’ll head over to the Campus Kitchen to see how the fresh produce from the garden is used in the university’s dining program and learn more about how the kitchen operates.
We’ll wrap up the day with lunch and free play at Kids Playce playground.

Location and Parking:
Campus Gardens: Meet at the parking lot at 159 W Denny Circle, Lexington VA. From there we can walk or drive through the woods to the garden.
