Raw Learning will be hosting monthly Forest Play Days this fall one Tuesday per month at 10:45am at Brushy Hills Preserve in Lexington, VA. We’ll meet at the springhouse trailhead and have a welcome circle to introduce ourselves around 11am. We’ll take a short walk to a “Basecamp” area where we can set our stuff down, explore our surroundings, and enjoy free play in nature. Pack a lunch, and stay as long or short as you wish. We will be following the basic philosophy of forest schools and Coyote Mentoring during this program. This will involve unstructured wandering, risky play, playfulness, expanding our senses, storytelling, getting dirty and muddy, and much more!
Homeschooling families with children of all ages can join us one Tuesday per month for this unstructured outdoor time to deepen our connection with nature and each other! This program is free. In order to keep the group size manageable, we ask that families RSVP in advance. To register click here.
